So, here is the scenario. I’ve decided to try my luck by changing my web target search to America today. Then I realized that most of the slank language I’ve been using couldn’t be translated properly into English. That’s understandable, since the words I’m using, is not very popular even in my native language. So here’s what I found on how to bulk replace words on WordPress.
The good and best part of using WordPress (the one I’m using right now, and here is why) is that we can do almost everything simply by adding a plugin. So, my best bet is to look for a plugin named “Better Search Replace” by going to my WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New Plugin and then type the word “search and replace” there. And I’m not surprised to found what I’m looking for was sitting right there waiting for me to click. I chose “Better Search Replace” over just Search and Replace, because… it’s better(maybe). Hahaha…
With the standard installation, it installed itself to my WordPress then I can access it from Dashboard > Tools > Better Search Replace.
How To Use
There are some sections, the word I want to change, the word I want to change it to and where to look for the word. I choose post database to do the replacement since there is where the word I wanted to change located.
You can get this plugin here, or by simply following what I did earlier.
You can also do the preview before replacing your word by ticking the run dry option. There is also a pro version of this plugin which allows you to do more tweaking. But the free version is good for me since I’m only using it occasionally for changing basic words and not going to deep to the codes etc.

Ini adalah percobaan gw make plugin Pixabay di WordPress, asik juga sih. Jadi menghemat waktu antara buka-buka halaman dan copas. Sebab, kebayang dong repotnya? Apalagi kalo halamannya biasa dipake anak-anak kecil maen bola…ugh capek! Gw banyak pakai gambar gratisan yang ada di sini, ya walaupun gratisan, gw tetap basa-basi ngasih tau kalo gw tuh pakai image buatan mereka, kenapa? Karena gw percaya karma itu ada, walau belom tentu sutra yah.
Lalu gw ditawarin buat join web mereka yg buat cari-cari job begitu. Eh, waktu gw coba siapa tau ada yg cari author… jiah kagak ada. Ya salah kamar sih, di sini gudangnya fotografer dan pembuat gambar digital. Justru harusnya gw yang cari stock dari mereka, ya kaya yang sekarang gw kerjain. Jadi ya gw ga salah-salah amat juga. Enak aja lo ah.
Tapi siapa tau yah ke depannya, jaman berubah, ada orang bikin foto… terus yang kagum sendiri gitu sama hasil fotonya, terus minta gw bikinin cerita tentang foto itu. Ya amin dulu deh, siapa tau jadi law of attraction.
Lalu barusan ada temen gw yg request gw buat bikin cerita horor, gw sanggupin, soalnya gw emang udah bikin, tapi dia maunya yang level Goosebump gitu, jadi ga bedarah-darah, wew… susah kali ye? Tapi ini gw terima tantangannya, dan gw kirimin cerita tentang tekotoh itu, serem juga kan?
Cuma kayanya sebagai penulis pemula, atau lebih tepatnya disebut sebagai orang yang baru mau coba-coba nulis dengan EYD terakhir itu tahun 90an, gw masih mikirin gimana caranya bikin jumpscare di cerita horror yang ada di buku. Apa musti kompakan sama pencetaknya biar selipin satu halaman yan udah busuk dan ada kain bekas pocongnya gitu? Atau pas dibuka halaman tertentu, bukunya netesin darah. Itu serem buat cowok sih, buat cewek ya paling dia bingung kok M di luar jadwal? Sebetulnya hal it udah teratasi dengan adanya audiobook, apalagi sekarang ada Adobe Spark, bikinnya gampang, cuma distribusiinnya di sini tuh ke mana? Yang ada gw kaya jualan door to door kaya sales Sepsodent jaman dulu.
Gile juga yah… gw inget dulu tuh sales sampe bolak-balik ngeyakinin nyokap gw buat beli tuh odol, dan ditolak terus. Mulut gw sekeluarga dulu sebau apa ya sebenernya? Gw sih ga tau sejarah ya, cuma gw nih kalo jadi pangeran yang kudu nyium putri2 Disney’s jaman dulu bakal mikir 1000 kali deh, gak higienis gitu. Ngomong soal iklan… eh, kejebak kan?
