Steam: Gaming Solution for Mac and Linux Users:
There was a time when Mac and PC users glued in the unnecessary war about which is better Mac OS or Windows. One thing is always the winning argument closer Windows user always use, “Mac can’t run good games”. Well, like it or not, the best operating system for gaming is Windows.

But that era has passed, ever since Mac uses Intel replacing G5, it enables Windows to be installed on Mac via Boot Camp. Unlike emulator that runs on the system, Boot Camp allows the user to choose whether to run Mac or Windows on their dual-boot Mac. That’s when Mac users (who loves video games) got the refreshment after years sticking to console gaming such as Nintendo, PlayStation, and Sega.

But, if playing games is your goal, why buy a Mac in the first place. Right?

Linux came later, with the same situation Mac users used to have. Again, no good game. By saying “good”, I mean good in graphic and development.

Of course, there will always be an argument that sounds like, “All I need is a good storyline blablabla”. Well, I used to play Moria and I found it fun at the moment. But, imagine how good Moria could be with a good graphic?

And Now, Steam

Steam is a place community, where the gamer can meet other gamers, in both cooperation or duel. More than that, Steam is where gamers using different operating system meet. With its one time set-up, you’re ready to play Free and Paid games. In the future, I will write more about this.

Gamestab : Game Nostalgia Para Gamer

Udah pernah denger Gamestab belom? Huuu norak… gw dong baru tau juga kalo ada kumpulan game nostalgia sebagai extension browser.

Ini extensions buat Chrome dan Firefox yang ngasih lu akses ke game-game jadul.

Bentar gw cobain dulu ya, gampang kok, tinggal pindah tab ke sini.

Kalo gw pribadi sih… langsung uninstall Yahoo Extensionnya, moga-moga ga bikin masalah ya.

Serius deh, aplikasi2 web kaya gini bikin gw mikir ,”kenapa ga dari dulu aja ya kegiatan kaya gini digalakkan?” Maksudnya ya kaya nempatn semuanya dalam satu browser. Kemungkinan sih lantaran dulu belom ada wifi di mana-mana. Soalnya, kalo secara grafis dan tuntutan spek komputer lainnya, gw rasa ga ada yang berat dengan web based game kaya gini.

Persyaratan umum mulai pake gamestab

Buat bermain, lu perlu akun AG yang bisa lu daftarin di sini. Konfirmasi email, terus mulai deh main. Kalo belum punya Java, download dan install dulu. Atau aktifin di settingan Chromelu.

Tapi yang nyebelin tuh lantaran dia maen robah homepage kita jadi homepage dia sih. Kan bikin kerjaan aja musti reset homepage browser gw yg keren jadi default lagi. Tapi, kalo lu suka sih biarinin aja. Enak malah, bisa langsung cari game terakhir yang lu maenin di situ.

Bingung gimana mulai mainnya? Sabar aja nungguin itu video cemen kelar, tar juga keluar tuh opsi mulai gamenya.

Pokoknya ini tempat buat game nostalgialah… bisa bikin seneng, bisa juga bikin mikir ,”kok gw dulu seru banget ya pas maenin ini?” Gw sih maenin Labyrinth. Sumpah! Dulu seru banget!

Jadi gini… kalo game dulu tuh 80% imajinasi dan penghayatan, 20%nya grafik.

Kalo sekarang… 20%imajinasi dan penghayatan, 80%nya grafik. Atau kalau ada yang 100% imajinasi, grafiknya harus 300% hahaha…

Game yang maeninnya cuma ditowel-towel aja tampilannya keren banget kalo sekarang. Mana bisa auto battle pula…halah! Tapi asik sih buat nungguin tukang risol di kereta.
